OwlCrate February 2016

This month’s theme was Sci-Fi Love!

Let me just start out by saying that I fangirled all over this box. Like, shortness of breath and high-pitched noises kind of fangirling (I mean, is there any other kind?) – and that was just from glimpsing Cinder and Scarlet’s names. As you can imagine, my squealing only became more shrill as the unboxing continued. My husband had to check on me to make sure I was okay.

Instead of one book, we got two. TWO! The first is The Love That Split The World by Emily Henry complete with a letter from the author herself as well as a signed bookplate. I’ve been seeing this book make its rounds and the reviews have been extremely positive, so I’m ecstatic that this was included in the February box. The second novel (seriously, I didn’t know we could get more than one book! You’re spoiling me, OwlCrate 🙂 ) was The Time Machine by H.G. Wells from Rock Paper Books, which was originally published in 1895. How cool is that?! (The answer is “very”. It’s very cool).

And given that The Lunar Chronicles series has skyrocketed to the top of my favorites list (I’m pretty sure it’s tied with Harry Potter now, guys), I was beyond thrilled to get this super awesome Lunar Chronicles tote bag made by the OwlCrate crew themselves! Thanks guys, this is seriously the best! I’m torn between using it all the time and not using it at all because I’m afraid I’ll get it dirty. The struggle is real.

Lastly, for all the Whovians out there 😀 We got a wooden TARDIS brooch handmade by VectorEngraving! This is seriously the best, cutest, most wibbily-wobbliest, timey-wimeyiest brooch ever! Don’t worry, it’s bigger on the inside.

Can’t wait for next month’s box!
