Eleanor & Park (Spoiler-Free)

IMG_1033

This Book. This. Book. A good book makes you feel, and Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell had me feeling all sorts of things – my stomach had butterflies when things were high and my chest ached when things were low. Put simply: Rowell is a genius.

Carry On (Spoiler-Free)

IMG_1014

Well, I can check off my second Rainbow Rowell novel πŸ˜… I finished Carry On in two days and it was a SURREAL experience 😊 To give you some context, Carry On was the fanfic story that the main character in Fangirl (Cath) was writing. When reading Fangirl, we’d get these teaser snippets of what she was writing. Which means! When I was reading Carry On, I felt like one of Cath’s fans and supporters. Very cool and very trippy 😜

Fangirl (Spoiler-Free)

IMG_0998

I’ve FINALLY read my first Rainbow Rowell novel! *And the crowd goes wild – aahhhh!* I adored Fangirl and can’t wait to read more of Rowell’s books! My next Rowell-read will most definitely be Carry On, for obvious reasons. And if you don’t know what those obvious reasons are, give Fangirl a read and you’ll see what I mean.

And a special thank you to one of my best friends for gifting me Fangirl for Christmas, along with Carry On and Eleanor & Park!

Dawn Study (Spoiler-Free)

IMG_0997

Earlier this year, Dawn Study, Maria V. Snyder’s final installment in her Study series was released, and… it was everything I’d hoped it’d be! πŸ˜†πŸ’•πŸ˜ I remember buying Poison Study (Book 1) years ago and falling in love with the characters – Yelena, Valek, Ari, Janco, Leif, Fisk, too many to name, really – and their fight-for-your-life antics. Okay, okay, it wasn’t all fight-for-your-life, they outsmarted their enemies many, many times – negating any need for fighting 😜

Read on for my spoiler-free thoughts on Snyder’s Dawn Study. Note: Since this is the final book in the Study series (which also ties into the Glass series), the Overview/Synopsis section below may have some spoilers for previous books. The remainder of the review, however, is safe.Β  Continue reading

I’ve finally caught up on the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard, having finishedΒ the most recent installment – King’s Cage (Book 3). I was excited to see where everyone ended up following the conclusion of Glass Sword, but I’m sad to say write that I was a bit disappointed in this book ☹️

Read on to see my spoiler-free thoughts on what exactly turned me off. Note: Since this is Book 3, the Overview/Synopsis section below does have some spoilers from the first two books. The remainder of the review, however, is safe.Β  Continue reading
